Our old new badge

This is next seasons badge and will be displayed on all shirts, training wear and supporter equipment featured in the fan store. Personally I couldn`t be happier. I think our badge look utter plastic and to be honest I am embarrassed that a club like ours with the proud history we have would use anything but a vintage looking badge with the the city`s PP (Princeps Pacis) included in it.

This beautiful weapon shield should be the base of our clubs emblem, with all it`s details and glory. In heraldry words, names and slogans inside the weapon shield is considered tacky and wrong. So what has been done with our normal badge is wrong on yet another level.

Look at the plastic look... The main symbol - The lamb - is reduced and the PP is replaced with the name sorted in a childly manner. The heavy double shade effect takes away from what is supposed to be the main attraction.
I have held my tongue because bitching and moaning very seldom gets you anywhere. But now we have the chance to make a permanent change - back to what once was.

Please take back the PP and remove the clubs name from the shield. Use banners and restore the pride in our clubs badge. The anniversary badge could be permanent, just come up with another line on the lower banner. I`ll help out if needed.

Blackpool at home in the League Cup

So we meet again... For the 94th time to be precise. The game will be played week commencing Monday 5th August 2013.

Hard to see anything else than a great turnout for this one.
