After defeating Huddersfield 2-0 at Deepdale monday night Preston are through to the 2nd round of the Capital One Cup more commonly known as the League Cup. The opponent for the 2nd round tie is London club Crystal Palace. We are quite happy with the draw and are optimistic about advancing to the 3rd round. But aren`t we allways..
The league cup is laughed at by any team that dosen`t win it. We on the other hand consider this tiny three eared bucket an important piece of silverware. Which the trophy cabinet at Deepdale definitely have the need and room for.
The 2nd round ties will take place in the week commencing August 27 with the 25 winners of these games being joined in the next round by the seven teams exempt due to European commitments. Preston will play at home.
